On Sunday, November 17th, All Things MOMMIE hosted 86 fabulous moms at Tinker House Events for an evening of fun and connection. From the moment guests arrived at 3 pm, the atmosphere was warm, filled with laughter, and shared with purpose: to reconnect with themselves and one another. Moms left the event with new friends and potential lasting connections.

This year’s theme, Back to the Basics, centered on nurturing individuality. As moms, we often prioritize everyone else, sometimes forgetting that we’re individuals with passions, dreams, and needs of our own. MomsGiving provided the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and determine how we plan to pour back into ourselves.

Setting the Tone

The event space, beautifully designed with a boho-inspired theme by IndyLux Experiences, created the perfect balance of Fall, warmth and elegance. From earthy tones to intricate details, every element of the décor transported guests to a space of intentionality and connection.

The event kicked off with a cocktail hour where attendees enjoyed complimentary massages, a vendor scavenger hunt that focused on the 11 vendors in attendance and complimentary headshots; courtesy of Kaptured by Kiki and Cozy Visuals. Our vendors brought creativity and energy, turning the vendor scavenger hunt into an engaging way to explore and connect with women-led small businesses.

Our event photographer, Lance Coleman of 4Leven Photography, and videographer, Gerad Encarnacion of Occupy Visuals, ensured our candid conversations and moments with new friends were collected.

Moments That Moved Us

The program began with a warm welcome and sponsor spotlight led by All Things MOMMIE Founder, Erien Dickens, and our Moderator, Erreol Morgan. A mom of five herself, Erreol brought humor, relatability, and grace to the stage, connecting instantly with the audience.

Debra Sexton of Fit4Mom North Indy guided us through a mindful moment, helping all of the moms center themselves and embrace the purpose of the day. Her words were the perfect segue into the evening.

Lashata Grayson of Black Girls Who Lift, shared the powerful message of “filling up our cups first.” Her words reminded us that self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. If we’re not whole, we can’t show up fully for our loved ones.

Attendees received raffle items throughout the event and left the event with mini floral arrangements from in-kind sponsor, Floral Lab Design, and heartfelt gift boxes provided by in-kind sponsor, A Seat at the Table.

A Feast With Like-Minded Mamas

The dinner, sponsored by Chef Paul of Paul’s Kitchen, was delicious. Thank you to Paul’s Kitchen team and volunteers for making our experience seamless.

During dinner, the moms were engaged by a fireside chat with Doneisha Posey of Impacto Strategies as she discussed legacy, balancing her ambitions, the power of mentorship, and the pressures of choosing between motherhood and personal goals.

An Evening to Remember

MomsGiving 2024 was more than an event—it was a movement. It was a reminder that moms are more than caretakers; they’re strong, fierce, and dynamic women with unique stories to tell. From the headshots to the fireside chats, every moment reflected our mission to uplift, connect, and empower moms.

If you haven’t had a moment to complete the event survey, please share your experience! Your feedback is incredibly important for All Things MOMMIE to improve and continue providing meaningful experiences. The survey can be located here.

Takeaways: How are you showing up for yourself? Who are you beyond your title of ‘Mom?”

2024 Message from Mom Attendee: Your community is here. You just have to put yourself out there enough to build your relationships.

To all the moms that joined us: thank you for being open to connect with other women and making our time together special. You are the heartbeat of MomsGiving, and we can’t wait to see you again next year, for year 5!
